Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, British politician Kemi Badenoch, and UBA chairman Tony Elumelu have been honored among the 100 Most Reputable Africans of 2025.
The prestigious list of reputable Africans, unveiled on Sunday by Reputation Poll International (RPI) in collaboration with the Global Reputation Forum, celebrates Africans who have demonstrated excellence and transformative leadership across various sectors, including technology, governance, creative industries, public service, and environmental advocacy.
National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, earned recognition on the list of Reputable Africans for his impactful leadership in enhancing national security coordination. His efforts in fostering synergy among military, intelligence, and security agencies have led to notable successes, including the rescue of kidnapped victims in northern Nigeria.
According to the organisers, the honorees were selected for their integrity, ethical leadership, and commitment to societal well-being. “This is a celebration of African excellence and a call to recognize those shaping the continent’s future with unwavering dedication to progress and innovation,” a statement on their website read.
Other distinguished Nigerians on the list of Reputable Africans include Dr. Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Church, Coscharis Group chairman Cosmos Maduka, and Senator Gbemisola Saraki. Notably, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, founder of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, makes his first appearance on the list this year.
Renowned gospel artiste Sinach, Bala Wunti of NAPIMS, and former Ghanaian President John Mahama are also among the honorees. Mahama’s recent electoral victory marked his return for a second term in office, while Benedict Oramah of Afrexim Bank and Sudanese-British billionaire Mo Ibrahim also earned their spots.
Isatou Ceesay of Gambia, famed for her innovative approach to waste management and women’s empowerment, and Karen Matsiko of South Africa, a finance and corporate governance trailblazer, exemplify the honorees’ diverse impact. Ceesay’s efforts in turning plastic waste into economic opportunities for rural women, and Matsiko’s leadership in sustainable trade finance, highlight the list’s broad scope of achievement.
Past honorees have included former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Jennifer Douglas of Miyetti Law Firm, and the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III. Others, such as Pastor William Kumuyi of Deeper Life Ministry and Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church, featured in the 2023 edition.
This recognition among Reputable Africans reinforces the continent’s dynamic leadership and the extraordinary individuals driving progress, innovation, and positive change across the continent.
