Commissioner Resigns After Redeployment

The Commissioner for the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation in Kano State, Mohammed Diggol, has officially resigned from his position.
The resignation was confirmed in a statement released on Sunday by Sanusi Dawakin Tofa, the spokesperson for the Kano State Governor. According to the statement, Governor Abba Yusuf has accepted Mr. Diggol’s decision to step down.
Mr. Diggol initially served as the Commissioner for Transportation when the current administration assumed office in 2023. In December 2024, he was reassigned to the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation during a cabinet reshuffle, a role he held until his resignation.
Governor Yusuf expressed his appreciation for Mr. Diggol’s contributions, commending his dedication and exemplary work. “Governor Yusuf expressed his gratitude to Engr. Diggol for his selfless service, unwavering commitment, dedication, and exemplary work ethic during his tenure as a member of the State Executive Council,” the statement read.
The governor also conveyed his best wishes to Mr. Diggol, hoping for his success in future endeavors.
