Kellyrae Reveals Struggles with Gambling And Marriage (Video)

Kellyrae, the winner of BBNaija Season 9, has shared some of the personal challenges he faced in his marriage to wife, Kassia prior to his appearance on the show.

He revealed that before joining the reality series, he had lost all his savings to gambling, which caused him to spiral into depression and feel a strong sense of guilt.

In a conversation with Chude Jideonwo, Kellyrae expressed how his wife stood by him through these tough times, providing him with the support he desperately needed and refusing his plea to abort thier marriage.

Kellyrae said that despite her support, he admitted that there were moments when he doubted his ability to provide the marriage she deserved.

“I had some money, but it was never enough. I started gambling to try to make more, and eventually, I lost everything. It left me feeling depressed, and I couldn’t sleep at night,” he explained. “She was the one who helped me when I was at my lowest.”

Kellyrae also shared that there was a time when he considered ending their relationship and aborting their planned marriage.

“I told her one day that maybe we should just break up. I didn’t feel capable of taking care of her, and I felt guilty for not being the man I thought I should be,” he confessed.

Looking back on his time in the BBNaija house, Kellyrae admitted that he kept his marriage a secret from the housemates, but remained authentic in every other aspect. “Troubles will come whether you’re ready for them or not. But I’d rather face the troubles that come with ₦60 million,” he said. “The only thing I didn’t share was that I was married. Everything else, I was just myself.”
