By Gideon Ayeni
The mother of a 3-year-old boy, who was physically abused by a teacher identified as Mrs. Stella Nwadigo, has broken her silence, revealing a troubling pattern of maltreatment endured by her son under the teacher’s care.
The abuse of the 3-year old boy occurred at a private school in Ikorodu, Lagos, where the mother also works.
The abuse sparked public outrage after a video showing the teacher assaulting the boy went viral.
In an emotional interview conducted in Yoruba, the distraught mother expressed her heartbreak over the repeated abuse of her 3-year-old boy.
“I work in the same school where this teacher beat my son,” she said. “This is not the first time she has done this. I reported the matter to the school management, but nothing was done. I am all alone—his father is no longer alive. I do menial jobs to survive. I want justice for my son, and I need help from Nigerians to support his education.”
