Valentine Chukwuma Is 2024’s Top Nollywood Editor

Valentine Chukwuma, an award-winning film editor, has been named the highest grossing Nollywood film editor of 2024. He shares this recognition with Israel Odunsi for their work on the film ‘Everybody Loves Jennifer’. The announcement was made by Filmone, a film distribution company, on its Instagram page.
Sanjo Adegoke secured the second position with his editing work on ‘Beast of Two Worlds: Ajakaju’ and ‘Lakatabu’. Meanwhile, Adekunle Oyetunde claimed the third spot for his editing on ‘Queen Lateefah’ and ‘Thinline’. Idris Razak ranked fourth with his work on ‘Ajosepo’ and ‘What About Us’.
Awa Holmes took the fifth position for editing ‘Alakada Bad and Boujee’ and ‘Wives on Strike: The Uprising’. The sixth spot went to Adeyemi Shomade, who worked on ‘Farmer’s Bride’, ‘All’s Fair in Love’, and ‘Aburo’.
Victoria Akujobi secured the seventh position with ‘Beast of Two Worlds: Ajakaju’ and ‘Criminal’. Kayode Aransiola followed in eighth for editing ‘Farmer’s Bride’ and ‘All’s Fair in Love’. Kelvin Testers and Gabiu Amidu tied for the ninth spot for ‘Alakada Bad and Boujee’.
Finally, Susan Ukalor was named the tenth highest grossing Nollywood editor for her work on ‘Muri & KO Saving Onome’ and ‘3 Working Days’.
Filmone celebrated these talented editors, describing them as the unsung heroes who turn raw footage into cinematic masterpieces, highlighting their creativity, dedication, and brilliance in shaping the films loved by audiences.
