Phyno’s Bodyguard Apologizes To Zenco Over Stage Incident (Video)

Chidi, the bodyguard of popular Nigerian artiste Phyno, has issued a heartfelt apology to billionaire businessman Zenco after a near-physical altercation at a recent event.
The incident occurred during Phyno’s performance at the funeral ceremony for Zenco’s late mother over the weekend. A viral video captured the moment Chidi attempted to push Zenco off the stage, sparking widespread reactions and criticism across social media platforms.
Responding to the backlash, Chidi offered an unreserved apology, clarifying that his actions were not intended as disrespect to Zenco but were driven by a misguided effort to ensure Phyno’s safety.
“I deeply regret my actions and acknowledge my mistake,” Chidi said. “I have the utmost respect for Zenco, and I take full responsibility for my behavior. My sole intention was to protect my boss, and I never meant to offend or dishonor anyone.”

His apology has since drawn mixed reactions, with many commending his humility and others debating the role of personal security at high-profile events. Neither Phyno nor Zenco has issued a public comment regarding the incident which occurred at the burial ceremony of Zenco’s mother where the musician had been invited as one of the guest artistes.
