Popular Actor Hospitalized After Home Attack

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is undergoing emergency surgery after being attacked by an intruder at his Mumbai residence in the early hours of Thursday.
According to reports from Mumbai Police, an unidentified individual broke into Saif Ali Khan’s upscale home shortly after midnight. The confrontation between the actor and the assailant escalated, leaving Khan with multiple stab wounds.
Khan was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital’s Chief Operating Officer, confirmed that the actor sustained six stab wounds, with two classified as severe.
“One of the injuries is dangerously close to the spine,” Uttamani revealed. “A team of specialists is performing surgery to stabilize his condition and address the damage.”
While the Saif Ali Khan family has not yet issued an official statement, the actor’s publicity team described the incident as an “attempted burglary” but withheld further details.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam confirmed the attack, stating, “An unknown assailant entered the residence, leading to a violent altercation. Investigations are ongoing to identify the suspect and determine the motive behind the break-in.”
The incident has sent shockwaves across the Bollywood community, with fans and colleagues expressing prayers and support for Khan’s recovery.
