Tinubu’s Ally, GAC Member Dies At 78

Pa Sunny Akinsanya Ajose, a prominent member of the Lagos Governance Advisory Council and former Head of Service in Lagos State, has passed away.
Reports indicate that he died in the early hours of Thursday.
Pa Ajose was known as a close ally of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, contributing significantly to governance and public service in Lagos State.
GWG.ng reports that Tinubu as governor of Lagos State had in 2004 appointed as the Lagos State Head of Service, a position he held until 200 when he reached the statutory retirement age. Following his retirement, Tinubu appointed Ajose to serve as his Special Adviser until May 2007 when his tenure elapsed as governor of Lagos State. Pa Sunny Ajose served as deputy chief of staff to Tinubu, the same position he maintained in the Babatunde Fashola administration.
Akinsanya Ajose following that he was appointed to the board of the Lagos State University Governing Council on September 16, 2015, a position he held till his death.
Beyond that he was a steady member of the Governor’s Advisory Council, GAC, the powerful body constituted by Tinubu to watch over the politics of the state.
