Barack Obama Alters Divorce Rumours In New Post On Michelle
President Barack Obama has further squashed rumours of divorce after taking to social media on Friday to celebrate his wife, Michelle Obama, on her 61st birthday.
In a post on his X handle he referred to Michelle as the “the love of my life.”
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Obama praised the former first lady, saying, “You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace – and you look good doing it. I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!”
Michelle later shared the tribute, adding her own caption, “Love you, honey!” accompanied by a heart emoji and a face blowing a kiss emoji.
Michelle Obama, who has kept a low public profile in recent weeks, will not attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday. GWG.ng reports that her decision to skip the inauguration and her notable absence at the Jimmy Carter funeral have fueled reports of discord and possible divorce between Barack and Michelle Obama.
According to sources cited by People, Michelle’s absence at Trump’s inauguration stems from her “disdain for the Republican president-elect.”
While Michelle will not be present, former President Obama is expected to attend the event alongside former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, as well as their spouses.
The birthday celebration and upcoming inauguration come amid unconfirmed rumours from late last year about the Obamas’ marriage.
Speculation suggested a rocky relationship and alleged ties between Barack Obama and actress Jennifer Aniston.
Aniston dismissed the claims during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, stating, “That is absolutely untrue. … I know Michelle more than him.”
GWG.ng reports that the reports of a divorce or discord in the marriage are rather fueled by Michelle Obama’s quest to maintain her space away from President Trump rather than any other issue.
