Controversy Trails Killing Of Prophet In Church

Controversy was erupting over the killing of Yomi Adetula, a prophet in the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC parish in Idiroko, Ogun State following revelations that he was also the Director of Anti-Arms Smuggling for the So-Safe Corps.
The horrific attack on Yomi Adetula took place around 10 a.m. inside a church located on Old Baggage Road. Witnesses recounted how three armed men stormed the worship center and targeted Adetula. Despite their initial gunshots failing to penetrate, the assailants resorted to using hammers and machetes, inflicting deadly injuries that claimed his life.
A statement from the Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident, describing it as gruesome and shocking. Authorities revealed that Yomi Adetula’s body was discovered drenched in blood, bearing multiple injuries from bullets and sharp weapons.
The attackers reportedly fled towards the border, prompting law enforcement to launch a manhunt. The police assured the public that investigations are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice while also restoring calm in the community.
This assassination has raised concerns about the security challenges faced by law enforcement operatives in the state, with many calling for swift action to prevent further violence.
The desperation of the assailants to extinguish life out of Yomi Adetula has raised suspicions of a conspiracy that may have been connected to the deceased’s role in curbing arms smuggling.
