As Onanuga Tasks Obi On Naira’s ‘Stability’
By Benjamin Abioye

Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State and the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party, recently celebrated Tunde Ednut on his birthday, calling him one of Nigeria’s most hardworking celebrities.
Through a post on X, Obi expressed his admiration for Ednut, highlighting his influence in digital entertainment and his ability to connect with people worldwide.
Obi wrote, “Today, I join the world in celebrating the birthday of a remarkable Nigerian Media Influencer, Tunde Ednut. Tunde has earned his place as one of Nigeria’s most admired and hardworking internet celebrities, captivating audiences with his creativity, humour, and consistency. His impact on digital entertainment and his ability to connect with people across borders is truly remarkable, making him a force in the industry. On this special day, I wish Tunde Ednut good health of mind and body, continued success, and many more productive years ahead as he continues to contribute to the development of our nation. Happy birthday, Tunde Ednut.”
In a separate post, Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, urged Peter Obi to acknowledge the recent positive trend in Nigeria’s currency, the Naira.
Onanuga shared on X that the Naira had been stabilizing against the US dollar and other foreign currencies. His post followed a report from Bloomberg that noted this unusual period of stability.
Despite the Naira having lost significant value against the dollar since the relaxation of foreign exchange controls in 2023, Onanuga emphasized the positive news of its recent stability. He invited Peter Obi to recognize this and spread the word, saying, “The naira is holding its ground against the greenback and other currencies. This is good news, not bad news. I invite Mr. Peter Obi to retweet the exhilarating story.”
