Former Senior Pastor of the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, has reportedly established a new ministry named Family Fellowship in Lagos.

The move by Iluyomade to start the new fellowship follows his suspension from ministry by the RCCG on the heels of a controversial birthday party last year.

Iluyomade’s departure from the RCCG came after he reportedly hosted an elaborate 60th birthday celebration for his wife, an action that drew the ire of the church leadership and led to his suspension.

In a video making rounds on social media, Iluyomade was seen joyfully dancing with members of his new congregation, marking the beginning of his new ministry after his departure from the RCCG. The atmosphere in the clip exuded excitement and renewed purpose as Iluyomade embraced this fresh chapter in his pastoral journey.

The establishment of Family Fellowship has sent the social media platform on frenzy, with many expressing support and admiration for Iluyomade’s resilience in moving forward after the controversy.

Pastor Idowu Iluyomade was known for his dynamic leadership and impactful sermons during his tenure at the City of David Parish, one of the most prominent branches of RCCG. His new ministry is expected to attract a significant following as he continues his mission of faith and family-centered worship.
