The former wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Queen Dami, has addressed allegations made by Adeyemi Adebisi Aminat, one of the monarch’s daughters, regarding paternity fraud.

Aminat accused Queen Dami of criticizing someone over the paternity of their child while allegedly being uncertain about the father of her own child.

Queen Dami’s marriage to the late Alaafin, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, ended after she reportedly violated a palace rule, prompting her to leave. She later attributed her actions to frustration and bad advice from friends. Sadly, their relationship was not restored before the monarch passed away.

In a series of social media posts, Aminat alleged that Queen Dami purchased her child from Port Harcourt. She claimed to possess evidence, including blood tests, to support her accusations. Aminat further warned that the Alaafin’s legacy should not be tarnished, stating, “The palace may be silent, but it knows the truth.”

Responding in a video, Queen Dami denied the allegations, attributing them to their strained relationship during her time in the palace. She declared her willingness to undergo a DNA test to prove her child’s paternity.

“When I was in the palace, the king did not allow us to work, but I secretly sold fabrics online,” she explained. Addressing Aminat’s claims, Dami said, “She and I never got along when I was in the palace, which is why she’s spreading lies. I am ready for a DNA test to confirm my son belongs to the late king.”

Queen Dami also pointed out Aminat’s personal issues, adding, “She isn’t married despite having two children. She’s doing this because I was planning to reconcile with Portable. I wasn’t the first queen to leave the palace.”

This feud highlights lingering tensions within the late monarch’s family, with both parties asserting their perspectives amidst the ongoing controversy.
