Worldcoin Gains Momentum After Trump’s $500B AI Deal

The price of Worldcoin (WLD) experienced a significant boost following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a massive $500 billion artificial intelligence (AI) project called “The Stargate Project.”
This initiative, which involves Sam Altman, the founder of Worldcoin and CEO of OpenAI, aims to position the United States as a global leader in AI innovation.
Trump Introduces the Stargate Project
On January 21, Trump revealed the launch of the Stargate Project, an ambitious AI infrastructure initiative designed to build state-of-the-art AI-operated data centers across the United States. The project, expected to create 100,000 jobs, will begin with an immediate investment of $100 billion, underscoring its economic and technological significance.
The initiative is backed by several prominent entities, including SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX. Masayoshi Son of SoftBank will serve as chairman, overseeing financial matters, while Sam Altman and his team at OpenAI will lead the project’s daily operations. Major tech companies such as Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Arm are also on board, contributing to the design and deployment of this infrastructure. Texas has been chosen as the project’s initial location, with plans to expand to other states.
Worldcoin Sees a Sharp Price Increase
The announcement had an immediate impact on Worldcoin, with its price surging by over 20% within 24 hours. The token’s value rose from $1.83 to $2.21, accompanied by a trading volume increase of 66.65%, reaching $716.97 million in 24 hours.
Crypto analysts have noted that Worldcoin’s current price is undervalued and holds strong growth potential. Analyst Venüs Kripto described WLD as a “promising basket coin,” predicting it could reach a target price of $4.65 in the short term and surpass $25 during a broader market upswing.
Broader Implications for AI Coins
The Stargate Project has generated optimism for other AI-focused cryptocurrencies. Tokens such as Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (FET), NEAR Protocol (NEAR), and Virtuals Protocol could also see bullish trends due to the increasing global focus on AI innovation and investment.
