Photos of a meeting between the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez Castejon, have sparked various reactions online.
The images, shared by Okonjo-Iweala on her official X account, captured the two leaders engaging in what appeared to be a cordial discussion.
In her post, the WTO chief revealed that the conversation focused on the importance of strengthening the organization’s role in maintaining a fair, predictable, and stable Multilateral Trading System (MTS) amidst global geopolitical challenges.
Okonjo-Iweala thanked the Spanish Prime Minister for his unwavering support, stating:
