UEFA Names Top Performers In Champions League Team Of The Week

UEFA names standout players to its Champions League Team of the Week, recognizing their key contributions during matchday 7, including vital goals and impressive performances.

UEFA has recognized Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid and Raphinha of Barcelona for their strong performances in the Champions League.

Both players were named in the Team of the Week after their crucial roles in helping their teams win in the recent matchday.

Vinicius and Raphinha each scored twice, contributing significantly to their team’s victories. Real Madrid triumphed 5-1 against RB Salzburg, while Barcelona secured a thrilling 5-4 win over Benfica.

Lazio won 3-1 against Real Sociedad, and Manchester United narrowly defeated Rangers 2-1 at home.

No team has yet secured an automatic spot in the Round of 16. Lyon leads the group stage with 19 points, followed by Frankfurt with 16 points.

This season’s Europa League features a new format, where the top eight teams will go directly to the Round of 16, and teams finishing from ninth to 24th will enter the play-offs for a chance to join them.
