The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will not process admissions for the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme in some universities where the Council of Legal Education (CLE) has suspended law studies for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This decision to suspend law admission in the instructions mentioned was disclosed in a statement by JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, on Wednesday, and made available to Channels Television.
According to Benjamin, JAMB will not approve any admission for candidates seeking to study Law at the affected universities during the 2025/2026 session. He also confirmed that the suspension of the Law programme at the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, will extend into the 2026/2027 academic session.
“Please note that the suspension of the Law programme at the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, will last for two academic sessions: specifically, the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 sessions,” the statement read.
