Daddy Freeze on 2Baba and Annie

In a recently surfaced video, 2Baba was allegedly seen with a new woman, sparking widespread reactions.

Daddy Freeze, known for his outspoken views and controversial teachings on the bible, addressed the controversy, urging the public to manage their expectations regarding 2Baba’s lifestyle.

Daddy Freeze who drew reference from Bible characters emphasized that 2Baba’s history with women has been consistent before, during, and after his marriage to Annie.

“Before the wedding, he was like that. During the marriage, he had women in his life. So how do we expect that after the marriage, he will now become a priest? Maybe we were expecting too much of him.”

He reminded the public that 2Baba had several children before his marriage and has never pretended to be different from who he truly is.

“He’s never shown us any signs at all that he’s not polygamous. He had five kids before he got married. Or three kids, or how many kids? Many kids. That’s his weakness, that’s his flaw. Let’s not judge him for it. Let’s not cancel him for it.”

Daddy Freeze went on to compare 2Baba’s lifestyle to notable biblical figures, arguing that polygamy has long been a part of African and historical traditions.

“David in the Bible had many women. Solomon had 1,000 women. Abraham had concubines. Jacob married two sisters and their house girls. But all of a sudden, 2Baba is the bad one?”

He questioned whether modern feminism and societal expectations are at odds with traditional African values.

“Maybe this new woke world, maybe this new feminist movement is derailing Africanism and the way African people think. Because I don’t understand how we got here. This man is a polygamist. We don’t need to make him feel bad about it.”

While expressing sympathy for Annie Idibia, Daddy Freeze noted that she should not have expected her husband to change overnight.

“Oh, my heart goes out to Annie. No woman should go through what she is going through. But let’s be honest—did you ever expect 2Baba to change?”

He admitted that personal transformation is difficult, sharing his own struggles with self-discipline in relationships.

“There was a time in my life I was like that too, and God has helped me. But you don’t know the work that goes inside.”

He added that maintaining fidelity requires effort, stating: “Everywhere I go, I go with my wife. My conversations with women do not pass phone calls. If I’m going clubbing, my wife must be there. It’s not easy.”

Daddy Freeze wrapped up his commentary by calling for understanding, stating that 2Baba’s actions are not out of character.

“He has been constant in his character. Let’s not demonize him. Let’s give him a break.”

He also pointed out the hypocrisy of those criticizing 2Baba, stating that many African men, including the fathers of his critics, have engaged in similar behaviors.

“Most of your fathers had babes. You just didn’t know. Some of you were even sent to deliver messages to your father’s girlfriend.”

While acknowledging that polygamy and infidelity might not align with modern values, he insisted that 2Baba should not be condemned unfairly.

“I’m not saying what he’s doing is right. I’m just explaining that maybe we had unreasonable expectations from an African man.”

Daddy Freeze’s remarks have sparked further debates on social media, with some agreeing with his perspective while others criticize his justification of 2Baba’s lifestyle.
