CAF Unveils Full Match Schedule For AFCON 2025

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially released the full match schedule for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to take place in Morocco.
The highly anticipated AFCON 2025 tournament will kick off on Sunday, December 21, with host nation Morocco facing Comoros at the newly constructed 69,500-seater Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat.
A total of nine venues across six cities have been selected for the continent’s premier football competition. Rabat, Morocco’s capital, will serve as the AFCON 2025 primary host city, featuring four match venues, while Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier will also serve as hosts for the continental tourney.
The quarter-finals will take place in Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, and Agadir, while the semi-finals will be split between Rabat and Tangier. The third-place play-off is scheduled for the historic Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca.
A total of 52 matches will be played throughout the tournament as Africa’s best teams battle for continental glory. Defending champions Côte d’Ivoire, who won the 2023 edition, will be looking to retain their title.
