Music Industry Adekunle Gold

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Adekunle Gold has voiced his concerns about the current state of the country’s music industry.

He believes that the industry is being controlled by the wrong people, which is negatively affecting artists, producers, and other creatives.

According to him, individuals who lack true knowledge of music are leading discussions and shaping public perception. As a result, talented artists are being overlooked while mediocrity continues to gain recognition.

Expressing his frustration on his X handle, he wrote, “People who have no business leading music conversations are now controlling and destroying the industry.

“Artists, producers, and real contributors are being overshadowed by people who don’t create, don’t understand, and don’t respect the craft.

“When the wrong people lead the conversation, they push the wrong narratives. That’s why real talent is overlooked, and mediocrity thrives. Congratulations to everyone involved.”

Adekunle Gold’s statement has sparked discussions among fans and industry insiders, with many agreeing that the industry needs better leadership to support real talent.
