By Benjamin Abioye

A woman and her two children are in police custody after she allegedly attacked her landlord with a pestle in Umugbabe Ovoko, located in the Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The incident came to light when Enugu media figure Chijinkem Ugwuanyi shared the details in a Facebook post on January 31, 2025.
According to Ugwuanyi, the attack occurred after the young landlord, an orphan, asked the woman to leave the property. He described the situation, stating, “His tenant scattered his head with a pestle because he asked her to pack out of the house at Umugbabe Ovoko Igbo-Eze South LGA, Enugu State.”
He also mentioned that the woman and her children are now in police custody, enjoying their time at the Ibagwa police station. Ugwuanyi pointed out that the young landlord had allowed the woman to stay with him because he was alone in the large house.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
