Portable Declares Himself Key To Grammy Success (Video)
By Benjamin Abioye

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has sparked reactions with a bold claim on social media. He stated that any artiste who collaborates with him is guaranteed to win a Grammy Award.
His statement comes shortly after the 67th Grammy Awards, where Nigerian singer Tems made history by securing her second Grammy.
In a viral video, Portable expressed his frustration at being overlooked in the music industry. He insisted that he had the talent to win a Grammy if given the chance.
“Olamide picked me and I came out from nowhere, nobody rise me, God is my pioneer,”he said. “I’m telling you, if not that you neglected me, I would have won a Grammy. Feature me if you want to collect Grammy, drop verse for me, I get chorus. Ordinary woman collected the Grammy from you people.”
The singer also highlighted his determination, sharing the video with a caption that read: “Failure is not an option for me. I don’t have backup, I am the backup. That’s why I am working hard. I believe in my phone and sub. Any disappointment is a blessing.”
His remarks have generated mixed reactions, with some fans supporting his confidence while others see it as another controversial statement from the singer.
