Street Fighter Star Peter Navy Tuiasosopo Dies

Actor Peter Navy Tuiasosopo, known for his roles in Fast and Furious and New Girl, has passed away at the age of 61.
He died in Phoenix, Arizona, reportedly due to heart complications.
His son, Manoah Peter Tuiasosopo, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, writing, “With a heavy heart, my family and I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Our father Peter N. Tuiasosopo passed away this morning at 3:16 am. My dad lived an amazing life, and in no way does his impact stop here. We will continue to live with him in spirit, and as saddened as we are, he is without a doubt in Heaven with his brothers, sisters, parents, daughter, and Jesus, and no longer in pain. His strength, love, compassion, and kindness will forever be felt.”
Tuiasosopo had a long and successful acting career that began in 1991. Over the years, he appeared in popular TV shows such as Magnum P.I., Mayans MC, New Girl, Black-ish, Ray Donovan, and NCIS. He was also featured in major films like The Scorpion King, Charlie’s Angels, BASEketball, and Austin Powers: Goldmember.
One of his most memorable roles was playing E. Honda in the 1994 live-action Street Fighter movie, where he starred alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kylie Minogue, Ming-Na Wen, and Raul Julia.
Following his passing, Ming-Na Wen paid tribute to her Street Fighter co-star, writing on Twitter (X), “I’m so very sad to learn the passing of my ‘Honda’, Peter N. Tuiasosopo. We had a blast on ‘Streetfighter.’ Many fond memories working with Peter. A teddy bear of a man. Condolences to his family & loved ones.”
Fans also honored his legacy online. One wrote, “Peter Navy Tuiasosopo (E-Honda, Street Fighter Live Action Film 1994) has passed away. Thank you, Mr. Tuiasosopo, for making the character come alive. RIP.” Another shared, *“We’ve lost a legend! Peter Navy Tuiasosopo, best known for his role in *Street Fighter, has passed away. His larger-than-life presence brought unforgettable characters to life on screen. Thank you for the memories, Peter!”
Tuiasosopo’s impact on the entertainment industry and those who knew him will not be forgotten.
