Popular Nigerian Comedian Loses Father

Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Bovi Ugboma, has shared the heartbreaking news of his father’s passing.
Bovi took to his social media accounts on Thursday, February 13, 2025, to announce that his father, Dr. Edward Ugboma, had peacefully passed away.
In his brief statement, Bovi wrote, “We, the Ugboma family, wish to announce the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather, and uncle, Dr. Edward Sagini Ugboma (PhD) on this day, the 13th of February 2025.” He went on to mention that Dr. Ugboma is survived by his children: Judy, Edna, Bovi, Zino, Tano, Tome, and Jiji, along with numerous grandchildren and other loving family members.
Bovi expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support during this difficult time, thanking everyone for their calls and messages. “We are grateful for all the calls and messages in this period of mourning and gratitude,” he added. He also informed the public that details of the funeral arrangements would be shared soon.
The news of Dr. Ugboma’s passing has received a wave of condolences, with both fans and celebrities flooding the comment section to send their sympathies to Bovi and his family during this time of loss.
