Tuface: Premium Babe, What Are You Doing With Serial Philanderer, Journalists Ask Natasha

A social media comment by a top Nigerian journalist has stirred intense debate among her colleagues on the propriety of music legend Innocent “Tuface” Idibia’s proposal to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
The controversy erupted after a Facebook user and top journalist, Chinelo Agina Obogo, questioned Natasha Osawaru’s decision, given her background and Tuface’s well-known history with women.
“You’re 31, a master’s degree holder from a school in New York, from a rich family and a lawmaker. What’s a premium babe like you doing with a philandering father of 7?” Obog wrote.
Her comment quickly became the focal point of heated discussions, with many social media users sharing conflicting opinions.
While some supported Obogo’s perspective, others defended Natasha’s choice, emphasizing love, success, and personal freedom.
Chinedu Eze responded with humor, implying that personal attraction plays a role beyond status or reputation:
“This is a general question. You don’t know the peculiar properties of his dangling modifier and what it does inside her body. All joysticks are not the same.”
Wilfred Eya drew comparisons to historical relationships, suggesting Tuface’s fame and wealth make him an attractive option:
“Ask Bianca why she married Ojukwu? Tuface is a rich and popular celebrity, and you are not sure men are attracted to the lawmaker because of her high profile. Most African women want to marry at most 30. A first-class brain from a middle-class family may not have the boldness to go for her. She obviously knows why she’s going for Tuface.”
Juliana Taiwo Obalonye kept it simple, siding with the idea of love being unpredictable:
“I guess it’s true what they say—the heart loves what the heart wants!”
On the other hand, Kehinde Balogun dismissed the argument that Natasha’s background should influence her choice, stating:
“Philandering father of 20 notwithstanding, 2face is an answered prayer to 1m & 1 ladies… what extra success is in MSc from US or a Nigerian lawmaking job beyond looting and thuggery!? 2face is an accomplished success in all realms. And an African man to the core. A full legend!”
Some users also questioned the criticism directed at Natasha, arguing that women should be free to make their own choices. SonySurf Okobi said:
“E concern you? Is it not her choice? Is it jealousy or what? Tuface can marry as many as he likes. If the girl is in love nko or that has been her prayer? Na wa for you ooooo.”
Others suggested Natasha might be leveraging the relationship for political visibility. Uzoma Samuel speculated:
“That girl wants to use Tubaba to build popularity in her political career. Who knew her before now? Women will only use men to achieve their selfish ambition.”
Some commenters challenged the idea that a woman’s relationship choices should be scrutinized more than a man’s. Prince Okunade Adekunle Sijuade pointed out:
“If it is Annie that decides to dump Tuface for a rich man nko? Nigerian women and ladies would have reasons to justify her decision. They will start saying she seeks peace where there is peace, she found love where there is love. What Tuface did can be done by the wife too.”
Olusegun Kayode Ajayi added that emotions and love don’t always follow logic:
“When it comes to love and emotions, you cannot rationalize. It’s not always 2+2=4. It’s her choice and no one can query her. She’s an adult, well-read, and highly experienced, so she is not being manipulated by anybody.”
