Binance’s Gambaryan Slams Ribadu Over Visa Denial Complaint
By Benjamin Abioye

Binance’s Tigran Gambaryan has criticized Nuhu Ribadu for “hypocrisy”, questioning his complaints about Canada’s visa denial while highlighting mistreatment of visitors to Nigeria.
Tigran Gambaryan, Binance’s Head of Financial Crimes Compliance, has criticized Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for what he termed as hypocrisy.
The remarks follow a visa denial incident involving senior Nigerian military officials.
GWG.ng reported that on Thursday, General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, recounted how he and other high-ranking military officers were denied visas by the Canadian embassy.
Nuhu Ribadu, speaking at the same event in Abuja, condemned the visa denial, calling it disrespectful to Nigeria. He expressed, “Thank you for the courage to say Canada denied you visas. They can go to hell. Even though it’s painful, it’s disrespectful, but we are peaceful and strong and I agree with you that it is time to fix our country. Yet, this is another reason we work hard to make Nigeria work.”
In response to Ribadu’s comments, Gambaryan, who had been previously detained in Nigeria by the NSA’s office, questioned the legitimacy of Ribadu’s complaints. He highlighted what he considered a double standard, pointing out that Ribadu had similarly mistreated those invited to Nigeria. Gambaryan took to X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Nuhu Ribadu complaining about the mistreatment of those invited to Canada? That’s rich. How about the way you treated those you invited to Nigeria? The hypocrisy is real.”
