Controversial reality star Deeone has made a shocking revelation, admitting that he deliberately planned his appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, using popular media personality Nedu as a tool to expose social media critic, Verydarkman (VDM).
Deeone’s confession comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his allegations that Verydarkman is involved in same-sex relationships, a claim that eventually led to Nedu’s dramatic exit from the show.
During an interview on TVC Breakfast Show, Deeone disclosed that Nedu was completely unaware of the scheme he had orchestrated.
“Can I be honest? I actually want to say the truth. I was the one who set a trap for Verydarkman using Nedu. This whole thing was planned by me alone, but Nedu did not know. If I had said it on social media, they would say I was chasing clout, but I needed a platform. I had been studying him for months; I wanted to know if he was real or just using Nigerians. Some things he gets right, but other times, he jumps to conclusions and manipulates everyone,” Deeone admitted.
He further revealed that he deliberately withheld his plan from Nedu, knowing the OAP wouldn’t have agreed to it.
“Even Nedu will be shocked because if I had told him, he wouldn’t have agreed to it since they are friends. That’s why I felt bad and appealed to people not to let him lose his job. I used Nedu as the bait to get the fish, and it worked perfectly,” he added.
When asked if he regretted Nedu’s exit from the show, Deeone stated that it was never his intention to make the media personality a casualty of his plan.
“I didn’t know Nedu was going to lose his job, and I feel really bad and sorry about that,” he said.
