Popular Actress Found Dead In Her Home

South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron has been found dead at the age of 24, police confirmed on Sunday.
Her body was discovered by a friend who visited her home in Seoul. Authorities later ruled her death as a suicide. Kim was once a highly praised child actor, known for her appearances at the Cannes Film Festival and in the Netflix series ‘Bloodhounds’. However, her career took a downturn following a drunk-driving incident in 2022.
Kim’s acting career began at the age of 9 with the film ‘A Brand New Life’, which was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival. She continued to build a successful career, appearing in numerous films and television dramas, earning several acting awards along the way.
But in May 2022, Kim Sae-ron’s career was severely impacted when she was involved in a drunk-driving accident. She crashed her car into a guardrail and a transformer, which caused a power outage for several hours. She was fined and faced public backlash for her actions. Following the incident, Kim was largely absent from the public eye and her role in Netflix’s ‘Bloodhounds’ was edited to remove several of her scenes.
In the wake of the scandal, Kim Sae-ron attempted to return to acting, taking on smaller projects, but her last known acting credit remains ‘Bloodhounds’. Fans and colleagues have expressed their shock and sadness on social media following her death.
