Lady Regrets Dumping Devoted Admirer After Years Of Failed Relationships

A Nigerian lady has shared an emotional story about her NYSC camp best friend, who recently accused her of ruining her chances with a devoted admirer she once despised.

In a post on X, @Ryann_Agada recalled how her friend had an admirer during their NYSC days—a man who adored her deeply but was never given a chance. According to Ryann, the suitor, nicknamed “10 Yards”, was incredibly generous, constantly bringing food, provisions, and offering unwavering support. However, her friend never reciprocated his feelings, largely because of his poor fashion sense—oversized trousers and heeled slippers.

Despite his deep affection, the lady only tolerated him for the free meals and benefits he provided while secretly crushing on another corps member. Things came to a head when 10 Yards threw a lavish birthday party for her, covering all expenses, only for her to treat him with disdain and eventually ask him to leave.

Following NYSC, the two friends went their separate ways. However, years later, Ryann’s friend attempted to reconnect with 10 Yards, only to discover that he had moved on and was no longer interested. When she reached out to Ryann, it became clear that she now wanted him back after experiencing failed relationships with other men.

To her shock, 10 Yards rejected her advances, expressing gratitude to Ryann for advising him to walk away years ago. Feeling betrayed, the lady lashed out at her friend, blaming her for making him leave and accusing her of being “jealous” and unsupportive.

Now, Ryann is left wondering if she did anything wrong by helping a man who deserved better see his worth.
