Pete Responsible For Jude’s Prison Ordeal – Paul Okoye
By Benjamin Abioye

Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rude Boy, has accused his twin brother, Peter Okoye, of being responsible for their elder brother Jude Okoye’s legal troubles.
Paul made this statement after securing Jude’s release from custody by offering his Ikoyi property as surety.
Jude, a former manager of the defunct music group P-Square, was remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. He was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of money laundering involving ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.
Jude pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the court scheduled a bail hearing for Friday, February 28, 2025.
During the bail hearing, Paul Okoye stepped in to secure his brother’s release. He offered one of his properties in Ikoyi as collateral.
“My Lord, I have here with me documents of one of my properties situated in Ikoyi valued at several billions of naira, and I’m willing to drop it with the court, but please release my brother to me on bail today,” Paul told the court.
After the court proceedings, Paul spoke to journalists, claiming Peter was behind the fraud allegations against Jude.
Jude is being prosecuted alongside his company, Northside Music Ltd, on a seven-count charge before Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court in Lagos.
The EFCC began investigating Jude after Peter filed a petition against him. According to the petition, Peter had discovered a “secret company” linked to Jude and his wife, Ifeoma Okoye, and raised concerns about the handling of P-Square’s royalties.
