FC Barcelona have announced the heartbreaking passing of first-team doctor Carles Minarro Garcia this evening, leading to the postponement of their LaLiga fixture against CA Osasuna, which was originally scheduled to be played, Saturday, March 8, 2025.

In an official statement, the club expressed its grief: “FC Barcelona is deeply saddened to announce the passing of first-team doctor Carles Minarro Garcia this evening. For this reason, the match between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna has been postponed to a later date.”

The Barcelona Board of Directors and the club’s staff also extended their “heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.”

LaLiga confirmed the decision to delay the match, stating: “The game has been postponed due to the passing of a member of FC Barcelona’s medical staff.”

The football world is expected to pay tribute to Dr. Minarro Garcia, who played a crucial role in the club’s medical team. Details regarding the rescheduling of the match will be announced in due course.
