Peace In Akwa Ibom: CP Azare Commends Stakeholders

The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Baba Mohammed Azare has commended the Core Community Elders Forum for its steadfastness in ensuring peace and tranquility in the state.
He gave this commendation when the community leaders visited him in his office at the Command’s headquarters in Uyo, the state capital.

CP Azare told his visitors that their initiative in promoting peace and unity in the state is in consonance with the the Command’s dedication to strengthening community policing strategies and working closely with local stakeholders to enhance security across the state.
The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John revealed in a statement that the Police Commissioner further assured the Forum of the Command’s continuous support in addressing security challenges in the state.
He also enjoined the elders to encourage their communities to be law-abiding and cooperate with law enforcement agencies.

“The police boss gave the assurance while receiving the Core Community Elders Forum led by its Chairman, Akpanubong Jehovah Isaac Akpan on a courtesy visit at the Police Command Headquarters.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering community engagement and ensuring peace and security across the state.
“The delegation, comprising elders from Eket, Onna, Esit Eket, Ibeno, Ikot Abasi, Mkpat Enin, Eastern Obolo, and Mbo Local Government Areas, sought to formally introduce their organization to the Command and establish a collaborative relationship in promoting unity and development in their respective communities.”, he enthused.
Also in his speech during the visit, the Vice Chairman of the Forum, Chief Christopher Tom, assured the CP Azare that the group is committed to fostering peace, unity, and cooperation among the eight local government areas.
According to him, the Forum is willing to work with security agencies in maintaining law and order, as well as advancing the socio-economic growth of the region.
