Breaking: Popular Nigerian Actor Apologises For Sleeping With Colleagues’s Wife

Popular Yoruba actor Babatunde Tayo, known as Baba Tee, has admitted to having a brief sexual encounter with skitmaker Ganiyu Morufu Dara, the wife of fellow entertainer Ijoba Lande.
The controversy began when Ijoba Lande posted a video on Instagram, accusing his wife of infidelity and revealing that she left him after he discovered her alleged affair. He also blamed his manager, Mary Gold, who is a close friend of Dara, for introducing her to Baba Tee despite knowing she was married.
In response to the accusations, Mary Gold claimed that Baba Tee’s involvement with Dara started after she had insulted him by questioning his manhood. Initially, Baba Tee denied any wrongdoing, challenging Lande to provide proof of his allegations or face legal action.
However, in a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, March 9, 2025, Baba Tee admitted to having a brief sexual encounter with Dara. He explained that the incident happened while they were playing a “Truth or Dare” game and that he was intoxicated at the time.
“When Mary Gold and Dara came to my house, she (Mary Gold) said she wanted me to be an MC for her event but never mentioned she was bringing anyone along. She introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife. Then they started asking if I had a Qatar connection before suggesting we play ‘Truth or Dare,’” he said.
Baba Tee further detailed how the game escalated: “Mary Gold went completely naked and kept daring me towards Dara while drinking alcohol instead of completing tasks. Instead of choosing ‘Truth,’ they kept giving me ‘Dare.’ Then Mary Gold dared Dara to let me have a ‘quick’ sexual encounter with her, and she agreed. I only did d*ggy, not proper sex. At the time, I didn’t know she was Lande’s wife. I later realized it was a setup to damage my reputation.”
Following his confession, Esabod advised Baba Tee to apologize to Lande.
On Monday, March 10, 2025, Baba Tee took to Facebook to publicly apologize. “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women,” he wrote.
The incident has sparked discussions online, with many reacting to the unfolding drama between the actors and those involved.
