PSG Knock Liverpool Out On Penalties To Reach UCL Quarters

Paris Saint-Germain have secured a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals after winning a tense penalty shoot-out against Liverpool.
The match at Anfield ended in a 1-0 victory for PSG, leveling the aggregate score at 1-1 before heading into extra time and penalties.
Liverpool started the game strongly, but PSG took the lead in the 12th minute when Ousmane Dembélé capitalized on a counter-attack. The home side fought back, with Dominik Szoboszlai having a goal ruled out for offside early in the second half. As the match progressed, Jarell Quansah nearly put Liverpool ahead, but his diving header hit the post.
With the score still level after extra time, the game was decided by a penalty shoot-out. PSG’s goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, emerged as the hero, making crucial saves against Darwin Núñez and Curtis Jones. Desire Doué then stepped up and converted the winning penalty, sending PSG through to the next round.
Donnarumma was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance. Liverpool now faces disappointment, while PSG advances, keeping their Champions League hopes alive.
