Rivers Lawmakers Serve Fubara, Deputy Notice Of Gross Misconduct

The Rivers State House of Assembly has issued a notice of alleged misconduct against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu, according to reports by Channels TV.
Details on when the notice was served remain unclear at this time. However, this marks the second impeachment attempt against Fubara since he assumed office in 2023.
The governor has been locked in a prolonged political tussle with his predecessor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over control of the state’s political structure.
