BREAKING: Fubara Vacates As Govt House Security Guards Are Replaced
By Benjamin Abioye

Suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has vacated the Government House in Port Harcourt ahead of the expected arrival of the newly appointed sole administrator.
Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vacated the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Fubara moved out on Wednesday morning, just before the expected arrival of Admiral Ekwe Ibas (rtd), who has been appointed as the new Sole Administrator of the state.
A security source confirmed that there had been a complete change of guard at the state’s seat of power, with all of the governor’s security details replaced. “The governor left Government House this morning, and the new administrator is yet to resume. We are expecting him any moment from now. The security details in Government House have been reshuffled. I can tell you that everywhere is calm, and nothing is happening as we speak now,” the source stated.
Despite the political situation, residents of Port Harcourt have continued their daily activities without disruption. There have been no reports of unrest or any breakdown of law and order in the city.
This development follows President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State on Tuesday. The president cited ongoing pipeline vandalism and the inability of political leaders to resolve the crisis despite multiple interventions as reasons for the emergency rule.
