Nigeria Vs Rwanda: Kickoff Time, Viewing Options
By Benjamin Abioye

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set for a crucial showdown against Rwanda as they continue their quest for a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Currently sitting in fifth place in Group C with just three points from four matches, Nigeria is under pressure to turn their campaign around.
This match will also mark the debut of new head coach Eric Chelle, a Franco-Malian tactician appointed earlier this year. Chelle will be eager to start his tenure on a high note, aiming to secure a victory that could restore confidence among fans and players.
Meanwhile, Rwanda leads Group C with seven points from four matches and will be looking to extend their advantage. Playing at home in the 45,508-capacity Stade Amahoro, they will rely on strong local support to maintain their position at the top. A win would solidify their standing, while a loss could shake up the group rankings.
For Nigeria, this is a must-win game. A victory would boost their chances of qualification, while another setback could significantly hurt their World Cup dreams. The match is scheduled to take place at the Amahoro Stadium in Rwanda at 5 PM Nigerian time on Friday, March 21.
Fans who cannot attend in person can catch the action live on AfroSport TV, NFFTV, or selected pay-TV channels in Nigeria.
In a related development, Zimbabwe’s President, Emmerson Mnangagwa, has offered a $150,000 incentive to the national football team, the Warriors, if they secure a win against Nigeria in their own World Cup qualifier. This was confirmed by Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) president Nqobile Magwizi, as the team pursues its first-ever World Cup appearance.
Zimbabwe, currently at the bottom of Group C with only two points, faces a crucial period in their campaign. Before their meeting with Nigeria, they will take on the Benin Republic at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The government has also pledged another $150,000 reward if the Warriors defeat Benin.
With these high-stakes encounters approaching, the coming days will be decisive for Nigeria, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe as they battle for a place in the World Cup.
