Fubara Resurfaces At Port Harcourt Church (Video)
By Gideon Ayeni

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, made his first public appearance on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at a Church service, following his suspension and the declaration of a state of emergency in the state by President Bola Tinubu.
Fubara was spotted attending a church service at the global headquarters of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, days after his removal alongside Deputy Governor Professor Ngozi Odu and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly in a nationwide broadcast on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
Arriving at the church around 10 a.m., Fubara was seen in a six-car convoy, accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie, and a team of security aides. His presence ended days of speculation over his whereabouts, with unverified reports earlier suggesting he had taken refuge at the Bayelsa State Government House in Yenagoa.

However, his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, dismissed the rumors, assuring the public that Fubara remains safe and in good health.
“Forget about what you are reading on social media. The governor is safe and doing well,” Chukwudi told reporters.
The embattled governor’s public outing in Sunday Church service has created renewed discussions on the political crisis in Rivers State, with many awaiting further developments in the unfolding situation.
