By Benjamin Abioye

Four teams have secured their places in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League after the latest round of matches.
Germany became the most recent team to qualify on Sunday evening after a dramatic 3-3 draw against Italy.
Germany took early control of the game with a dominant first-half performance. Joshua Kimmich converted a penalty and provided assists for Jamal Musiala and Tim Kleindienst, giving the team a strong 3-0 lead before halftime.
However, Italy fought back in the second half, with Moise Kean scoring twice to narrow the deficit. In stoppage time, Giacomo Raspadori’s penalty further increased the pressure on Germany. Despite Italy’s late comeback attempt, Germany held on and advanced to the semi-finals with a 5-4 aggregate victory.

In domestic football, former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye has tipped Remo Stars as the favorites to win the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title this season.
Currently, Remo Stars sit at the top of the league table with 57 points, holding an eight-point lead over second-placed Rivers United. The Ikenne-based team has finished as runners-up in the past two seasons but is now in a strong position to claim the championship.
With 11 matches left in the season, the Sky Blue Stars face a crucial period. Ideye, who now plays for Enyimba, acknowledged that football can be unpredictable but stressed that the title race is in the hands of Daniel Ogunmodede’s squad.
Additionally, he expressed hope that Enyimba will finish in a position that secures them a place in continental competitions.
