INEC Receives Recall Petition Against Senator Natasha
By Benjamin Abioye

INEC has received a recall petition against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as Kogi Central constituents push for her removal.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received a recall petition from constituents in Kogi Central, seeking to remove their senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, from office.
The petition was submitted following a week-long collation of signatures from voters in the district. According to those behind the move, they believe the senator has not been adequately representing them. However, some of her supporters have openly disagreed with this claim, voicing their backing for her.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has recently been involved in a dispute with the Senate leadership. The conflict began when the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, reassigned seats, a decision she strongly opposed.
Following this, she accused Akpabio of sexual harassment, claiming that her seat was reassigned because she rejected his advances.
In response, the Senate suspended her for six months after its Ethics and Privileges Committee found her guilty of violating Senate rules.
