“My Husband Is In Trouble” – Wife of Former Rivers HOS Cries Over His Whereabouts In Abuja (Video)

Florence Nwaeke, the wife of Dr. George Nwaeke, the recently resigned Head of Service of Rivers State, has raised concerns about her husband’s safety and whereabouts following his sudden public appearance in an interview criticizing Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Speaking out in distress, Florence revealed that her husband had informed her of his safe arrival in Abuja after traveling from Rivers State. However, she was later shocked to see him participating in an interview where he made allegations against the governor.
According to her, the man in the interview did not seem to be the husband she knows, sparking fears that he might be acting under duress.
“I have tried reaching him several times, but his lines have been unreachable. I don’t know where he is or if he is safe. My husband is in trouble,” she pleaded, calling on Nigerians to help her locate him.

The situation has fueled speculations, especially after Governor Fubara reacted to Dr. Nwaeke’s claims, suggesting that the former Head of Service may have been compromised and pressured into making statements against him.
In his post on X, Fubara urged Nigerians and people in Rivers State to ignore the fake narration of the former Rivers Head of Service.
“IGNORE NWAEKE’S FALSE CLAIMS
My attention has been drawn to a press briefing by the former Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke aired on Channels Television on Friday the 28th of March 2025.”—Fubara statement read in part.
As concerns grow over Dr. Nwaeke’s safety, many are now questioning the circumstances surrounding his sudden resignation and the unfolding political tension in Rivers State.
