Eid-el-Fitri: Group Applauds CDS, Troops For Depleting Bandits
A civil society organisation, Security, Development and Advancement Initiative has applauded the Chief of Defence Staff, General Chris Musa and troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria for depleting ranks of insurgents and bandits in the country.
The Group stated this in its message to the Armed Forces of Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri.
Convener of the Group, Mattias Ebong who signed the statement said troops were making sacrifices to keep the country safe and united.
He said the AFN have shown the way forward in terms of making sacrifices for the country and applauded the Chief of Defence Staff for the many feats that have seen insurgents, terrorists and bandits being depleted by troops.
The Convener said the fasting period was that of intercession to usher peace and stability in security challenged areas in the country, and expressed hope that those places will soon experience a turn around.
According to him “As you celebrate the end of Ramadan and mark the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, the Security, Development and Advancement Initiative send our warmest felicitations.
“May this joyous occasion bring you peace, happiness, and spiritual renewal. May the blessings of Allah be upon you and your loved ones.
“As we celebrate, let us remember the sacrifices being made by the Armed Forces of Nigeria to keep the country safe and united. May we continue to uphold these values in our daily lives and continuously work for our unity,” the group said in recognition of the efforts of the armed forces of Nigeria.
