Former Chelsea Player Undergoes Emergency Surgery

AC Milan midfielder and former Chelsea player, Ruben Loftus-Cheek was forced to undergo emergency surgery for acute appendicitis ahead of the club’s Serie A clash with Napoli on Sunday.
According to Sky Italia, the former Chelsea star was rushed to the hospital before the game, leaving him sidelined as Milan suffered a 2-1 defeat.
Loftus-Cheek, who has struggled with injuries this season, has made just 14 league appearances due to recurring fitness issues. He previously missed 12 games with muscular injuries before making his return last week against Como.
Now, the 28-year-old faces another month on the sidelines as he recovers from surgery.
The Englishman joined Milan in 2023 on a contract running until 2027 and has featured 62 times for the club, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists.
