A childhood friend of TikToker Peller has pleaded for inclusion in his success, sparking debate online after claiming he has been left behind despite a previous N2m handout.

A childhood friend of popular Nigerian TikToker Peller has gone public, pleading to be included in Peller’s success, despite already receiving a previous N2 million handout from the social media star.

The friend, whose identity remains undisclosed, claimed the money was not enough to change his life and urged Peller to “carry him along” by helping him establish himself in the industry.

In a widely circulated video, the young man was seen kneeling and appealing to the public to intercede on his behalf. He recounted how he and Peller grew up together, emphasizing that he once provided Peller with food and that they used to create videos together. However, he expressed disappointment that Peller had chosen another associate, Joe Black, leaving him behind in Ikorodu to struggle.

His appeal has ignited widespread reactions on social media, with many criticizing his sense of entitlement. One user, @ChiamakaNwaJohn, expressed frustration over individuals who publicly call out successful friends, stating, “That statement alone just shows how unappreciative you are. Almost makes one understand why you weren’t ‘carried along.’”

Similarly, @waxdigitals remarked that if he were in Peller’s position, he would cut off friends who feel entitled, saying, “He credited you N2 million, yet instead of showing gratitude, you have the audacity to demand more? People like that don’t deserve a place in his life.”

Another user, @Dreyszn, simply labeled the friend as an “ingrate with a huge sense of entitlement.”

Many other commentators suggested that the young man should invest the money wisely. @JubrilShoes advised, “Use the money to buy a used Keke Marwa and start a hustle.” Meanwhile, @ThisIsTheIroko recommended, “Go to school… use the money to get an education.”

However, a few users defended the friend’s grievances, with @treasureorlu519 arguing that he started the journey with Peller and deserved more support, stating, “Even if it’s just one more video collaboration, it could help him become independent.”

Despite mixed reactions, the overarching sentiment remains one of disbelief at the young man’s complaints. Many believe that Peller’s financial gesture was more than generous, and that the friend should take responsibility for his future rather than relying on handouts.

For now, Peller has not responded publicly to the controversy, leaving the discussion to continue on social media.
