Portable, Speed Darlington Set For Celebrity Boxing Match

In the world where music meets rivalry, two Nigerian street kings, Speed Darlington and Portable, are set to clash in a highly anticipated celebrity boxing match.

The stage for the boxing showdown between Speed Darlington and Portable is set for April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, where the battle for ultimate street supremacy will unfold.

The tension between the two started in March when Darlington offered Portable ₦500,000 to perform at his upcoming event. Portable, dismissing the offer as an insult, shot back, calling Darlington “poor.” He boldly declared, “You are inviting me for a show, and you don’t have money. You use my name to promote your show. I charge N20 million, ask around. I don’t know that you are poor. I don’t want to be friends with poor people.”

In response, Darlington expressed regret for the invitation, saying, “I regret it because why the insults?”

Unfazed, Portable challenged Speed Darlington to a fight, claiming he would defeat him just as he had defeated actor Charles Okocha in a previous boxing match.

The boxing match between Portable and Speed Darlington, fueled by public demand, has finally been confirmed. The organizer, Mygamerush, shared the news on Instagram, stating, “You asked and now it is here. Two street kings battle for ultimate street supremacy.”

Portable had previously triumphed over actor Charles Okocha in a celebrity boxing match in December 2023, adding more fuel to the fire of this upcoming showdown.
