Alleged Sexual Harassment: How My Husband Confronted Akpabio In London – Natasha (Video)
By Imman Onyero,

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has vowed to present evidence of sexual harassment by Senator Godswill Akpabio against her at the right time and right space.
She made the vow as she alleged that the sexual harassment continued despite a confrontation between her husband and Akpabio in London over the alleged denial refusal by the Senate President to allow her speak in the chamber.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan spoke on a Channels Television interview monitored by GWG.ng that followed Thursday’s assertion by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC that declared the recall move against her as defective.
Speaking of a confrontation between her husband, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan and Akpabio in London, she said:
“When I started rejecting the advances, I experienced hostility and I did mention a number of times to my husband who would then speak to him. There was a time when we were in London, January 12 we visited him.”
According to her at that time she had been hinting to her husband that she was not being allowed room to express herself by the Senate President forcing Chief Uduaghan to confront Akpabio at a meeting she said was also witnessed by Akpabio’s wife, Unoma.
According to her following the confrontation and on their return to the chambers, Akpabio allegedly continued when she again tried to present a motion.
She alleged Akpabio told her:
“Natasha, so you now see that no matter how many times you report me to your husband, you have to meet with me, this is my space. Talk to me, make me happy bla bla bla.”
Apparently noting that she had not at that time told her husband of the alleged explicit words of the Senate President, Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan said that a number of women find it difficult in Africa talking to their spouses on the issue of sexual harassment.
Asked of the future of the once very close relationship between her family and that of Akpabio, she said:
“For me I don’t think I will like to maintain any friendship with a person who does not respect our boundaries.”
Reminded that she had not presented any evidence of the alleged sexual harassment by Akpabio, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan said:
“Is he the court? Let’s leave that at the right time and at the right space, I will present evidence that I have.”
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan also revealed during the interview of how her husband conceived the idea of using a helicopter to arrive her Ihiama, Kogi State residence after local authorities stopped vehicular convoys from moving on account of alleged insecurity.
