Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has revealed that he turned down a substantial financial offer to campaign against Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The “Declan Rice” hitmaker made this revelation after facing backlash for publicly urging Obi to support his new album.

It would be recalled that Odumodublvck had earlier called out the politician, arguing that since he supported Peter Obi’s campaign, it was only fair for the former Anambra governor to reciprocate by endorsing his project. However, his approach was met with criticism, with many deeming it disrespectful.

In response to the backlash, Odumodublvck disclosed that he had once been offered an amount of money he had “never seen before” to campaign against Peter Obi, but he refused the offer.

He maintained that his request for Obi’s support was reasonable, emphasizing his loyalty to the politician.

His words:

“Ask Abbas, I was offered money I had never seen to campaign against Mr. Peter, but I turned it down.

Telling him to promote my new album is not too much to ask, as I am not the one to seek favours.

I sacrificed my life for this man.

No wam.

The machine is coming.”
