Funke Akindele Snubs Ijoba Lande’s Allegations, Focuses On Herself

Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has seemingly brushed off the allegations made against her by fellow actor, Ijoba Lande.

Earlier, GWG.ng reported that Ijoba Lande released a viral audio clip detailing his unpleasant experience working with Akindele. In the recording, he claimed he was paid a meagre sum of N90,000 and urged aspiring actors not to idolize any producer, warning them to learn from his own experience.

However, in what appears to be a subtle dismissal of the controversy, Funke Akindele took to her Instagram page to post a series of adorable throwback photos from her childhood. The photos were accompanied by cheerful captions, showing no sign of engagement with the ongoing drama.

Fans have since interpreted the post as a deliberate move by the actress to rise above the fray and not dignify the claims with a response.

As of now, Akindele has not issued any official statement addressing Ijoba Lande’s allegations.

GWG.ng reports that the seeming determination of Funke Akindele to ignore Ijoba Lande is coming in the wake of the news that veteran Nigerian actors Segun Arinze and Emeka Ike have officially ended their long-standing feud, which began over a decade ago.

The conflict between the two stars started in 2009 following a leadership dispute within the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

The rift deepened after Emeka Ike lost the AGN presidency election to Segun Arinze in 2010. Ike then took the matter to court, challenging the election results and seeking to have the poll nullified. However, in a recent interview, Arinze revealed that the tension between them had finally been resolved.
