NNPC Unveils New 8-Man Senior Management Team
By Benjamin Abioye

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced the appointment of a new 8-man Senior Management Team as part of its ongoing organizational restructuring.
The announcement comes just days after President Bola Tinubu approved the dissolution of the former board and appointed a new Group Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.
In a statement released by the company and shared by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the new leadership team will work under the direction of the newly appointed GCEO, Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari.
The newly constituted team includes:
– Rowland Ewubare as Group Chief Operating Officer
– Adedapo Segun as Group Chief Financial Officer
– Olalekan Ogunleye as Executive Vice President, Gas, Power & New Energy
– Udy Ntia as Executive Vice President, Upstream
– Mumuni Dangazau as Executive Vice President, Downstream
– Sophia Mbakwe as Executive Vice President, Business Services
– Adesua Dozie as Company Secretary & Chief Legal Officer
All appointments take effect immediately and reflect the administration’s commitment to repositioning the national oil company for greater efficiency, transparency, and performance.
This development follows the major leadership overhaul initiated by President Tinubu on April 2, which saw the removal of Mele Kyari as GCEO and the dissolution of the NNPC Ltd. board—a move aimed at revitalizing Nigeria’s oil sector amid growing demands for accountability and reform.
