APC Lawmaker Dies In His Sleep

Tragedy struck Zamfara State on Wednesday following the sudden death of Aminu Ibrahim Kasuwar-Daji, the lawmaker representing Kaura Namoda South Constituency in the State House of Assembly.
Kasuwar-Daji reportedly passed away in his sleep during the early hours of the day, leaving behind a wave of grief across the state’s political landscape.
His unexpected death has sent shockwaves through the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), under which he was elected, as well as among his legislative colleagues and constituents. The Zamfara APC, including its State Working Committee and supporters, expressed deep sorrow, describing the late lawmaker as a man of integrity, known for his unwavering dedication to the people he served.
His passing has left the Kaura Namoda South community in mourning, with tributes pouring in from residents, political associates, and fellow lawmakers who praised his commitment to grassroots development and legislative service.
In line with Islamic rites, Hon. Kasuwar-Daji was buried at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday in his hometown of Kasuwar-Daji, located in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
GWG.ng reports that the death of Kasuwar-Daji happened at a time that he and other political actors in the state were still trying to find a solution to the insurgency in the state.
